Mer-Ko Deck Waterproofing Membrane is an asphalt modified latex, elastomeric membrane, designed to create a thin-section, seamless, reinforced waterproof membrane barrier. Deck Waterproofing Membrane is used with; Shur Deck, Weather Deck, Auto Deck, ARC Membrane, and Hydro-Guard AG Waterproofing Membrane.
Mer-Ko Deck Waterproofing Membrane functions as a waterproof and crack isolation membrane designed for above grade use as well as under concrete and approved overlayments and tiles.
It provides superior positive-side waterproofing protection and superior durability using a high-performance, latex resin. Deck Waterproofing Membrane incorporates an anti-microbial component, a performance additive that inhibits the growth of mold and mildew on the membrane surface and in damp environments, providing additional protection and defense against environmental health concerns it is used in conjunction with reinforcing fabric to provide exceptional membrane stability.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Mer-Ko Deck Waterproofing Membrane is an asphalt
modified latex, elastomeric membrane, designed

Membrane is used with Shur Deck, Weather Deck,
and ARC Membrane.
Mer-Ko Deck Waterproofing Membrane functions as

Deck Waterproofing Membrane is a cold-fluid, applied
material that creates a tenacious bond to properly
prepared substrates (e.g., base flashings, etc.). It is
applied at 27, 36 or 54 wet mil thickness, see the
specific system Technical Application Guide for the
required dry film thickness.

CAUTIONS & LIMITATIONS
The substrate surface must be structurally sound, clean,
dry and free of dirt, dust, oil, grease, paint or other
contaminants at the time of material application.
Substrate and ambient temperature must be
above 40oF (4.4oC) and below 120oF (49oC) during
and for 24 hours following the application.
Do not apply in damp weather or when rain is
occurring or expected within 24 hours.
Deck Waterproofing Membrane must be covered with
bodycoat, protective coat or overlay within 72 hours.
Always apply Prep Seal as an intercoat primer
between any cementitious system layers other
than the waterproof membrane, that have cured for
more than 72 hours. In the event that the Deck
Waterproofing Membrane has cured for more than
72 hours, the surface must be cleaned, allowed
to dry and an additional coat of the Waterproofing
Membrane must be applied.
Protect the membrane from construction traffic
during application and cure to prevent damage to
the membrane prior to installing the finish materials.
Will not bridge seismic cracks or wide construction joints
Not suitable for applications where chained or
studded tires may be used.

STORAGE & HANDLING
Store Mer-Ko Deck Waterproof Membrane out of direct sunlight at
temperatures between 40oF and 100oF (4.4oC and 38oC). Do not allow
the uncured Deck Waterproofing Membrane material to freeze. Promptly
clean tools and equipment with water and mild detergent. Always wear
proper safety equipment, including particle mask, eye protection, and
gloves when mixing and/or applying these products.
